Child & Adolescent Therapy

*My after school hours are currently full. I'm happy to help you find more immediate care for your child, or meet with you to provide parenting support!*

On the outside, you see "behavior"…but you suspect there’s more going on underneath. Do any of these sound familiar?

  • They withdraw, refusing (or simply unable) to talk about their feelings.

  • You describe your child as "hypersensitive" to the world and their surroundings

  • They’ve started acting out, maybe already labeled the “problem child.”

  • Preschool teachers are already calling for a meeting.

  • They often seem overwhelmed and sometimes (or all the time), are unable to effectively process what’s going on around them.

  • Transitions are, and always have been, difficult.

  • Nothing is ever “right” for them, and it’s starting to show in their self-esteem.

  • Big feelings physically overtake their body and they don’t know how to calm.

  • They no longer want to talk, and instead close themselves off from their support system.

  • Impulsive behavior and lack of focus are starting to interfere socially, academically, and emotionally.

  • A major life event occurred and you’re unsure how they might be coping.

  • They’ve recently received a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, or Anxiety Disorder and you don’t know what to do next.

Let me help! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years experience working with children from toddlers to teens (and their parents!). I am also the parent of a young child. I utilize CBT, play therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness techniques to address anxiety, anger, sadness, and all other big feelings in children and teenagers. I offer specialized therapy to:

  • Control and regulate big emotions

  • Navigate their own brain and body

  • Create a toolbox that gives your child the ability to help themselves

  • Collaborate with the important people in the child’s life to ensure their safety net is in tact!
